Sacha's an awesome person to work with, for anyone looking for a designer who understands MVP and UX. I've seen him and Didier work magic with LocomotiveCMS!

Just Ruby/Rails/Sinatra for the near future. As much as we'd like to go after that, it's not likely something we'll be able to handle. ThinkUp looks pretty damn interesting though :)

Just Ruby (rack) and static (CSS/HTML5/JS) apps right now. Our backend is built in a way we think should scale to other languages nicely (although we have to impose some structure), but we're focusing on getting the system and experience ri

Actually, barring the github guys rushing to integrate with us, we made a bookmarklet I'll post here in a bit. Great suggestion by the way.

No no, no need to be fair about that, there's precious little docs publicly right now :) It'll be rectified, but we're deciding which docs to write by working with developers and end users in the private beta. I'll add your questions http:

Hey there, Yes, I put in some rate limiting for the launchers, and it appears to have gotten backed up a bit. I'll see what I can do, but we're in a private beta right now, so I'm more inclined to work on the stuff our regular users are bri

EDIT: And we're back! The hn-facing server should be able to stand up to a bit more of a beating now, and I've increased the background workers (cheating a bit, since normal bushido apps can't do that yet), so we should be able to tear thro

We've had several interns, most of which were from Canada (University of Waterloo apparently has strict experience requirements for undergrads). There's not too much of a challenge - contact different startups, you'll be sponsored, you'l co

Definitely have to recommend Paul and his site, TSF. I just signed up for the daily digest after seeing it on twitter a few times, and I'm enjoying it. We haven't been able to get on there yet, but they provide a good form here: http://the

I've actually seen the tipping point between more value in `the cloud' and in our own data-center. The article is leaving out some of the massive overheads in managing your own metal, but even with that factored in, the cloud often comes ou

I'm not entirely in the know, but I'd be willing to wager the average time working (in some cases full-time) on an idea pre-YC would be approaching one year at least.

He left out that there's a time limit. You have a party with guests coming over in 10 minutes, and it takes 5 minutes for the wine to kill the rat (in any dosage amount). Given those constraints, how do you do it? It's a fun question, but t

The Keith Jarrett style was amazing - I really felt the analogy between playing a live instrument and changing the code in real-time, and it sounded very good. I had visions of a large symphony hall with people dressed very sharply watching

Best of luck javruben - you'll have a lot of haters who won't understand the value prop, so you have a lot of difficult marketing ahead of you. I thought about going into this market awhile ago, but there's a huge battle to be fought agains

Heh, no problems. Like I said, I planned to be persistent. You might think of a way to manage responses automatically so the sender knows you at least received it, to keep relations good. And, as I've mentioned before, I'm a huge fan of wha

I don't believe thin uses a pre-fork model, though I could be wrong on that account. I went through some pretty intense memory comparisons between the two over the past month, I'll have to write it up tomorrow.

I'm really hoping that we'll see some REE love for 1.9, but right now they're focused on other things (rightly so). Forking unicorn workers is so expensive without a COW-friendly GC that I've reverted back to thin. Very happy to see develop

I took it that the OP was referring to Anonymous as a mob... which is essentially one of the big draws of huge mobs - their anonymity. Although I'm intrigued by the whole drama unfolding, I don't know that we can say there's justice/liberty
