A watchmaker once told me that the hands in any other position have the possibility of either hiding other features (like date) and/or the brand name. 10:10 is the safest position to avoid these.

Couple things I noticed when using the simulator: 1) you have almost unlimited memory - if you're not clever with your memory management (eg. UITableView cells) things will look great in the simulator but will crash/run slow on the device 2

The argument that gold is equivalent to currency is false. It's almost impossible to buy food from the grocery store with the gold watch you got last Christmas. For all practical purposes, gold is a second-hand good like anything else, and
