It's just so much easier and safer to nit-pick than to take the time to explain what you love about something. But hey, on the plus side nit-picks can be useful to a project creator too, if only to help them anticipate people's ob

Isn't what you're saying in essence replacing the cult of "Newer Is Better" by the cult of "Newer Is Worse"? You can't know that Wikipedia doesn't need a redesign until you see that redesign. People

Part of this is that the demo is using a pretty old version of Telescope/Meteor (like 6 months back), and also that it's running on a free *.meteor.com instance that's not very powerful. I need to fix both of these, sorry abo

A lot of things have changed. There are a lot more features now (things like invites, notifications, tags, more granular settings, RSS feeds, a simple API, etc.). Right now I'm working on making the app more modular by extracting these

I've always associated Gittip with GitHub, and contributing small amounts to cool open-source projects. But from the article, it seems like its mission is much more ambitious than that. In that case, if the service wants to shed its te

Yes, this definitely seems like a mistake on Zazzle's part. And it's possible the artist may have been acting in good faith, and only wanted designs that actually copy his brand removed, not all designs featuring pi. Edit: OK, i

Random observations: - Aren't Jekyll and Octopress basically the same thing? - Really impressed at how fast Metalsmith is growing. Might have to give it a try soon. - For now I give my vote to Middleman.

Thanks for mentioning Discover Meteor! My own experience with Meteor is pretty similar to yours, it was definitely one of the easiest frameworks to get started with.
