IANAL, but my understanding is that if they didn't sue (or oppose the trademark, or whatever it is they're doing), they're afraid somebody else could create a "XYZ Saga" that is copying King's game and use

Oh, I hadn't thought about the potential for confusion! Curious to know if that's how most people will parse it…

Not all use cases are equal. Static pages might work great for static content, but what about something like GitHub? Wouldn't it be nice to see the issues list refresh live when somebody else closes one?

The "tweet to download" model is bad because you're forcing someone to endorse a product publicly before they even get a chance to try it, thus potentially hurting their credibility. On the other hand, the "leave email t

Seeing how badly people reacted on Twitter, I don't see any upside for anybody to say anything about this issue at all. Which probably won't help matters much…

As a french person, I would be pretty upset to think my taxes are going towards paying people to order Ubers and make sure they take at least 15 minutes to arrive. It almost seems like something out of a Monty Python sketch.

Maybe I'm not as smart as french lawmakers, but I can't really figure out how they'd even enforce this?

I feel like one of these articles comes around every few months or so. I guess the storyline of "daring entrepreneurs fight against rigid societal norms" is just too appealing… But in my opinion it remains to be seen if it's

Agreed. There are plenty of other options for hosting Meteor apps though ( http://modulus.io , http://digitalocean.com , etc.) And Telescope does have a simple read-only API, as well as an RSS feed. Depending on the fea
