Even more interesting is what the Android guys had to say about getting newer versions of Java. The tone is very suspect and it almost sounds like they are considering another language. Perhaps that's just me reading into it. Source:

I think the real goal with this kind of question is should we be more critical in how we adopt new technologies. Should we think about both positive and negatives effects on culture and society. Right now we essentially have a culture that

Another positive thing about pricing it above the .99 min is that if you do, you can't have sales or reduce the price of your game. Starting at 1.99 gives you some freedom to bend your price a bit.

Wouldn't you want to do a POST for creating the first counter and then a PUT for updates?

The article seem to suggest that they are just going with their new games platform which supports multiple platforms. Do you have a source on it's popularity?

Really surprised they are getting away with 4.0 and later. That would be like a dream come true for me to make an app that only supports those versions.

The list sent was supposed to be used by the client to filter. What I think the OP is suggesting is that they should have just filtered server side not client side.

Which in a way relates to Irregardless's post http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=5345217 . One of my favorite MMO's Ragnarok Online won't get locked away and lost when Gravity decides to close it down, there are plenty of backends and ope

If this is good enough to replace a macbook air why does this exist? http://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/devices/chromebooks.htm... This product seems way out of line with Google's strategy.

I think any conversation is better then no conversation be it a joke or not. The comment actually brought out some really great points on the issue.

This is why we need curated lists like the AFI's top 100. I'm not saying they are the answer rather what I'm saying is truly reflective lists require critical thinking and evaluation.

I like this comment more then the article. The terms "waste time" are used but what does that mean? How do you define wasting time? Easy, you measure what you were doing to your long term goals. I't is easy to say that "playing game x" is w

They(Astro A40) are used widely for console tournaments (like halo and call of duty). You can daisy chain them to create voice LANs for your team.

Interesting. Seems like dressing up is the "right" way and those who dress as they please(without making anyone uncomfortable) are not in the wrong per say, but maybe under achieving. I suppose those in power choose(implicitly) what the rig

Great for a personal project. I would be all over that. Looking at it from a business perspective you can see why there are so few tablet apps in the android market. The amount of android tablets in users hands right now is small. You targe

If your new, Eclipse is great to get you jumpstarted; however, I find IntelliJ much faster and reliable then Eclipse. I started Android development with Eclipse and only found IntlliJ later, I have not looked back since.
