If that is the case I would think that the voting system would be sufficient for handling any such discontent for posts such as these. If you don't like it don't vote for it, and if the rest of HN agrees the submission will see no votes an

I understand your desire for more content that you find useful. But keep in mind that this is a post on a personal blog. The goal of the post is not to conform to your taste in content but rather it's a spot for the author to deposit a th

I dropped by http://smartupz.com to find out more about your premium app. I found that the grammar was not correct in quite a few spots and would highly recommend you have someone proofread your copy. Not improving the copy will definit

I initially learned to ride a bike on a grassy area (much softer falls, I highly recommend this). As I got much better my dad graduated me to the road. Everything was going great during this transition until I saw a kid a couple years old

Thanks for the insight into your method and thinking. I'll definitely consider this if/when I make an attempt. Best of luck with Newsley.

I'm curious what the monetization strategy is for these types of social news sites (ex. Newsley, Rubyflow, markenomics, etc., etc.). Or is the motivation to do the work to build this type of site (both structurally and in a community sense

You mention 'They created a really great app with all the features I was working on'. Thinking about your use of the plural of feature, I'm wondering if there is a way to pare down the feature set and provide a lightweight solution (as a d

I can't stand the text of the story. Terrible. Likely supposed to be funny or grandiose but I'd happily trade that crap for some actual meaningful content. Perhaps start by telling us about the screen or the person who made it.

I assume the joke was in the delivery. But I'd agree that the concept described in the retelling seems very reasonable. Delonge seems to be a non-technical entrepreneur attempting to pitch/address a pain point that he perceives in his ind

I actually quite like this presentation of the patents. Though I agree the background lines are confusing if they are actually meaningful. And it would be great if you could click on the titles and be sent to the actual patent description.

I would love to see a videogame that included solar system battles that rely on using orbit dynamics as opposed to the deep space feel of a game like Asteroids.

I like this idea alot. I do have my doubts that someone who has stolen a bike is going to take it in for servicing. Though they may sell it to an unsuspecting person who subsequently takes the bike to a shop so maybe it does have a shot o

With respect to the visual aspects of the landing page, I quite liked the initial screen (title, visual slide, etc. look good). As I scroll down, I also like the concept behind the image vs image check mark for highlighting the strengths o
