I personally like it when the form inserts a space for me after every 4 digits and has a maximum length of the field set to (number of digits + spaces between). For some reason I rarely see websites that have such forms. Maybe it is actuall

I want to point out this is worst case retention after the maximum guaranteed writes are done to the SSD. For a typical SSD that means 70TB to 150TB. An SSD which is not close to that level of writing will retain for much longer. My Cruci

Vultr, who have offerings very similar to DO, have a class of VMs called "Storage Series"[1]. In my experience their uptime is similar to DO and their performance is better. Might be of interest to you: [1] https://www.

You don't need to evaluate all permutations, at least not in detail as long as you know the main selling point of each. Go for the setup that has the smallest number of components yet is complete enough for your specific case. For me -

The usage of 3.4 is 16% and combined with the 81% for 2.7 that gives us 97%. You can't replace 3.4 with "any version" and keep the statement true.

ubuntu/trusty64 is the most popular box and is officially supported (whatever that means). Just install anything you need with apt-get - you can do it during the provisioning step on first run.

That's why enterprise SSDs are rated at number of full writes per day rather than GB per day. If you are going to write at 400 MB/s for 24 hours a day then you need an enterprise SSD and not a consumer one.

All Mint point releases (17, 17.1, 17.2) are going to use Ubuntu 14.04 as a base. That means upgrading Mint 17 is low risk task until Mint 18 is released in 2016 (based on Ubuntu 16.04). Also expect Mint Debian Edition based on Debian 8.0 (
