If it were humans using the site it might be super motivating, but knowing that it's 99% bots producing AI slop, yeah I'd be looking for a new job.

I think about how violently HN (in general) reacts to technology like Web Environment Integrity which could enable websites to relatively easily block AI spam, and at the same time opine about the days of being able to talk to (just) humans

This is the ugliest car I've ever seen, and that includes the Cybertruck. I do like the retro modern interior though.

They aren't being strong-armed, NASDAQ is literally changing the rules to appease Musk and get in on the grift. Move your money elsewhere while you still can.

Call me crazy but iTunes/Music has always been one of the things I like most about macOS, at least after going through the settings and disabling all the features trying to push you into a subscription. I still manage my own ~500 file

Fun fact, studies show human performance follows a power distribution, not a normal curve, implying _most people are below average_. https://www.npr.org/2012/05/03/151860154/put-away-the-bell-c...

What, do you sincerely believe Palantir is pulling the strings behind Ladybird? What is the accusation here? Everybody can be "connected" in some way or another, but it's meaningless.

eBay has been a savior for me buying for buying old / replacement parts. No idea where some of these sellers get their inventory but I'm so glad they exist and we can both use eBay to transact.

A graphing calculator is a fraction of the cost, has no security updates, is standardized, isn't connected to the internet, ... There is value in a thing that does one thing well.
