I think you have it backwards. Being a tenured economics professor is Krugman's day job. Nobody makes a living writing New York Times op-ed pieces, even though Krugman may be more famous now for his op-eds than for his academic work.

I'm reminded of the trouble that LiveJournal has had balancing the interests of its users and investors. They have millions of users, but many of those users post on topics that are, ahem, not what mainstream deep-pocketed advertisers want

I suppose it's worth trying, although the victim may not be so keen on having his or her own victimization recorded for posterity. I have also heard that among girls, one common form of bullying these days is to pretend to be the victim's

I don't think the authors are claiming that bullies are geniuses. You don't need to be a genius to know who you can get away with bullying. You just need to know that if you abuse X then the only people who might witness the abuse are peo

IIRC the protocol for a three-way split is: One party gradually moves the knife, pointing downward and poised to slice, over the surface of the cake, until either of the other two says "cut". The person who calls "cut" gets that slice. Th

I'm not sure whether this clause would stand up in court, especially if AT&T were discovered to be doing something skeevy that only a class-action lawsuit would provide effective relief for. However, in general, a lot of consumer contr
