I was very hesitant as well, but eventually determined it was a relevant link (a screencast with impressive video quality, but less impressive content). GP's comment could certainly be improved.

Just a note, but you're using awfully small hexes and large points there. The two plots approach each other asymptotically, especially if you switch to a monochromatic colormap like some here have argued for. Histograms tend to work best wh

That's only if you use a scaling factor of 9 instead of 4. edit : Wikipedia tells me hexagonal tiling is conjectured to be the tiling with the smallest perimeter per cell, and is the densest way to arrange circles on a plane. So that's a b

That page hasn't really done much for my opinion of Facebook. I constantly run into it when trying to access public static content with an "unsupported" browser.

No, that one was bred. I know the breeder. Sounds like you don't think highly of God, though. That's a shame - He's a great painter. You should visit an art gallery, many collections have some of his work (usually labelled Unknown Artist).

It's worth stressing that while the c.l.t. gives a reasonable justification to using that algorithm for the mean, that justification does not extend to the median, which can diverge from the mean by as much as range/2. You'd need to be able

I wouldn't say it's confusing, but the inconsistent baselines are very misleading. I'm also pretty surprised that some of the tests are anywhere near comparable, since they had different indexes.

That second thing is perhaps your best example so far. The cube example suffers from construction. It's simple to see that the bounding spheres are fixed to the cube's corners, which escape with dimension. While very interesting, this doesn

Chrome has gone a long way to alleviate my issues with PDFs, but a lot of people still absolutely do have problems with links to those - to the point that Scribd was successfully launched. As for FB, it has much worse penetration than PDFs,

The third installment of a series that has received universal critical acclaim and inspired several spinoffs, books and movies is hardly a risk, no matter what ending you put on it. I have no idea what the meat of the argument was over, but

Well, in the Swedish case where TPB had issues with the judge, the judge was chosen essentially because they knew what this newfangled filesharing thing was, which was more than could be said for just any random judge.

I'm assuming the problem is questions like this: Recall the Master Method and its three parameters a,b,d. Which of the following is the best interpretation of b^d, in the context of divide-and-conquer algorithms? Alternatively, the p

Unity does have an experimental plugin for Linux systems, running on NaCl. It's fairly functional, provided your graphics drivers play nice. I definitely wouldn't recommend it for Facebook games, but for teenaged kids it may well suffice.
