Recently I was writing Pedestal code (for the first time in my life) and ChatGPT was ok at generating boilerplate for it. If the nature of the code is boilerplate like and there is online documentation that ranks high in Google search, I su

Will it be possible to manually position the nodes? Ideally, manually position some nodes and auto-layout the rest.

For example, our concept of 'work most of your time to afford food and place to live' for Aristotle would translate to a single word 'slave'. Good for him that he didn't have to do it and had slaves working for him

In a real problem you can have equations with parameters, where coefficients depend on some other parameters. And you should be able to answer questions about the roots depending on parameter values, like 'in which range of parameters

Hard disagree. Group theory, for example, is not just another language, but is absolutely necessary for proving Abel's theorem. So the question was: Group theory -> Abel's theorem Category theory -> ??? (below I got the answ

As far as I understand, fundamental groups were defined by Poincare in 1895. And functors in category theory are a generalisation of this idea (i.e. proving something for fundamental groups and then relating this back to topological spaces)

That sounds good, but what's the easiest to state mathematical problem that requires Category Theory apparatus for the solution?

Is there any Category Theory tutorial that illustates that we need this apparatus to solve some real problem? For example, for Group Theory there is an excellent book 'Abel's theorem in problems and solutions' that does exact

React components are clearly not FRP data transformations, they don't have any notion of data flows, observable/computed values, etc.

I don't agree that React is FRP. FRP is a generic solution that builds data-UI synchronization around data, and assumes that incremental UI updates will be written in UI code. React puts data-UI synchronization code inside UI component

"Not even wrong" is a title of a book about String Theory by Peter Woit. I've noticed a common tactic in online disinformation campaigns: taking a common term associated with critique of some concept and spamming it in a diff

It's like string theory - a framework with tons of free parameters which will never produce a coherent physical theory, but you can always write a paper that contains a promise of explaining any observation with the right fine-tuning o

There was no real competition, Flow was a practical internal tool with 0 marketing budget. Typescript is typical MS 3E strategy with a huge budget. Needless to say, Flow is much more practical and less intrusive, but marketing budget captur

Last time I checked 3rd party plugin 'Remotely Sync' worked fine on mobile. You just create a new vault with any name you want, install the plugin, fill-in the settings and the sync will copy content of your existing vault there.
