Unfortunately the SSL cert expired and I just couldn't justify renewing it. I know they're not expensive but I have other priorities. It is still secured over https and I mainly keep it running to demo to anyone interested now and then.

http://www.meetingshed.com - bootstrapped, some interest and a few users, not enough to start a business. I keep it running because I use the VPS I set up for it for other stuff.

I've spent a lot of time researching Logic Programming and I'm always amazed how little known some of the languages/tools/techniques derived from it are. For some software problems Prolog, Constraint Logic Programming, SAT solvers are the n

It's an important reminder that most startups are run by a handful of people who are normal, fallible human beings. They generally don't have access to the infrastructure and manpower required to be on the ball and maintain near 100% uptime

The AI community seems somewhat dispersed in the UK. There are pockets of interest, mostly where universities carrying out research in this area reside: I know some of these exist in London and Edinburgh. Also there's an AI conference takin

This is very pendantic I know but in your demo video the line 'They all have tons of features that Emily don't need, all she needed the most is a CRM with attendance records' would be more correct English if it read: 'They all have tons of

Does this mean my project... meetingShed ( http://www.meetingshed.com ) is in conflict with this patent? I guess you could argue this point either way. I developed this some time ago now, and I've seen many other solutions all taking a slig

This seems like a good idea, with decent gmail integration. It's certainly one of the best approaches to the meeting 'time slot suggestion' problem I've seen so far. I developed a product (meetingShed http://www.meetingshed.com ) which aim

I looked at it for a project, but the current release still seems very 'early'. It was hard to figure out how to do anything with the clients, other than the basic querying covered in the documentation. You have to do a bit of work to get i

These two have admirable goals but I don't think I'm alone in finding it hard to justify the terms 'nuclear reactor' and 'startup' in the same sentence together. It's incredibly judgemental I know, but I have a hard time taking those two yo

This is an old article, and a poorly written one at that. Strikingly though one of the criticisms that seemed most poignant to me is: "GWT completely ignores the fact you are creating a website, NOT an application"... I think this shows a s

That has to be the most poorly justified argument I've heard in a long time. So many factors such as immigration and inter-racial marriages are ignored. Its an interesting question to pose, but could do with far more thorough analysis!
