EDF was a net electricity exporter, until 2022, but this year France is already importing quite a lot of electricity currently, due to most nuclear reactors being still in maintenance. They are supposed to be restarted before winter but I w

I think the automotive temperature range goes up to 150°C in the motor, and 85°C in passenger compartment. So it is already possible. However the bigger the temperature range, the bigger the chip price likely. So likely why consumer electro

It is hard to get any new project online in three months, but surely Europe will be really really serious about energy saving this winter, it might be a good idea to buy a few more pullovers..

It is really good, a whole run is between 1h - 2h so can be played while commuting for example. The only downside I can find is that you can't really rest/recharge like in some more traditional roguelikes, you always have to go fo

Carmat has been working on it for a few decades. I believe they have not been approved yet by the FDA but are in the clinical trials phase. https://www.carmatsa.com/en/

From my understanding, some people at least might have bought a car, with the future hope to have a full self driving system. I am not sure everyone will accept "finally it doesn't work" as an answer.

At the same time, if they are really far away, we might not be able to communicate meaningfully with them. So likely after a first phase of hype, it might dwindle down.

I just checked on nethack.alt.org high score in the last 60 days https://alt.org/nethack/top60d.html 5000 points is still a relatively low score, it corresponds to reach Dungeon level between 5 and 7, which is quite ea

I am not really involved with these tests: I believe they are not the same people every time, because doctors tend to be quite busy, and don't have much free time available. They are coming at least from different continents, but obvio

As far as I am aware, for every significant UI change we do at the medical device company I am working for, we bring a panel of final users (doctors and techs) to our facility and we have to do some validation tests, and finally show these

This is Phase 2, but I wonder how long Phase 3 will take, given that getting Lyme disease is still pretty rare, can easily be missed or misdiagnosed, it will takes a lot of time and people to get a significant effect between a control group

From my understanding if you had an mRNA vaccine, your body was only exposed to an artificial spike protein, so effectively you have spike specific antibodies. On the other hand, if you had a real infection by the virus, you likely have ant

Robotics in itself is a rather wide subject. I would say that on one end, you have high level algorithm related to motion planning, object detection, navigation, SLAM, autonomous driving, kinematics and inverse kinematics, and on the other

This is not a very productive comment, but I really love blogs over twitter threads, or instagram story, or any other shallow system, even more so when it is written by a professional writer, with some British humor sprinkled on top of it.
