Yeah. This is mostly because of the language syntax scars, and many of them probably will never be fixed. But at the architectural level the request isolation adds a significant robustness. If some request causes crash, infinite loop, chanc

At least the real input value is in YYYY-MM-DD. Also the date picker will show the day in it's calendar UI.

In UIs prefer date/time pickers instead of raw text inputs which will give the date/time in standard ISO format such as ("2025-07-25" or "2025-07-25T18:47:26.022Z"). Prefer ISO formats everywhere where possible

Every time I see an input date string in XX/XX/YYYY format I get a micro PTSD flashback. This cannot be parsed reliably and is locale dependent. The standard date format is YYYY-MM-DD (it's also the date part of the ISO time

Still PHP's syntax leaves much to be desired, especially the arrays. https://waspdev.com/articles/2025-06-12/my-honest-opinion-ab...

Looks like there is a limited access from CLI, although CLI doesn't work reliably. I ran heroku ps:restart multiple times and my site came back to life, although there are errors in the console.

I wonder whether heroku is some kind of monolith, if something crashes, the whole thing crashes.

The cli doesn't seem to work anyways, I can't access or restart dynos.

Yeah, but I think it has much higher CPU usage, at least when there is no native hardware decoder/encoder. Maybe this has more to do with adoption, since H264 has been an industry standard.

I think VP9 is more comparable to h264. Also if I'm not mistaken it's not good for live streaming, only for storing data.

For garbage collected languages destructors cannot be called synchronously in most cases because the VM must make sure that the object is inaccessible first. So it will not work very deterministically, and also will expose the JS VM interna

I think this will work well for cases where the divisor is fixed and hardcoded. For the dynamic case of a % b == 0 it's probably not a good idea because fetching numbers from the array in RAM is much much more expensive than doing mod.

I'm not a JS engine dev, but my theory is also that one of the reasons was probably the negative impact on the performance since you add 2 new fundamental types to the language which already has 9. JS is a dynamic language and this is
