This pattern is a big part of why Google is a poor company to buy infrastructure from. They are horrible at customer support, and have made it clear over the years that they have no intention of changing that. That's simply unacceptabl

They're historically synonyms. The word libertarian was invented only after the word liberal was highjacked and warped into its modern meaning.

This is incredible to me. I wonder if you have some other mechanism of "knowing" or recalling that I don't that substitutes in. It's entirely possible, given that so many people report not being aware their experience is

I fully believe this to be real, but I struggle to internalize that there are people who genuinely can't picture an apple. That is a very useful simple tool. Thank you for sharing it. Even this feels like only a partial scale. I can pi

The execution speed of the language the CLI is written in doesn't matter. Any difference is dwarfed by the slowness of network calls, specifically their API response times.

I have used the major hyperscalers for years. I agree with you that Google is the worst business partner, but saying they have the worst network and more issues does not align with my experience at all. Azure is miles behind on technical pr

You're lucky. In my experience no-call lists don't work. I command a significant budget and even with a lot of effort to not proliferate my phone number, I get at least half a dozen spam or sales calls a day. I can't imagine

Yeah, I'm not at all willing to do these sorts of verifications. Any company doing them essentially doesn't exist to me. I don't even use Anthropic because they require a phone number to register.

Sure, I don't contest that. Parents can definitely fail to educate their children properly at home. Students in government schools suffer from the same problem though. The point is that the average result appears to be better.

That's essentially the entire reason illegal immigrantion and the H1b program exist. They are both in precarious positions that allow them to be treated as indentured servants, forcing them to tolerate conditions Americans never would.

Interesting trade-offs for a customer. No more expectation to tip or dealing with drivers potentially running scams. On the other side, I assume you now need to go unload the delivery from the car yourself, a much worse experience for apart

Right. It's a not-so-well-kept secret that hospice care is actually assisted suicide in disguise. It's done with a wink and a nudge, hiding behind the principle of double effect, but it's a mercy everyone knows is happening.

Great opportunity to point to organizations like allsides.com who do a good job attempting to counter media bias. It's worth taking a pass over their coverage of any major politicized event in order to see the different slants.
