In the video I posted elsewhere in this thread, he actually breaks down all the assets and every single one of them is from the asset store. There's literally nothing original in the game at all.

Hustling is showing pre-rendered videos to simulate gameplay, or promising an infinite open world and then having a large-but-limited one. This is flat out lying and saying you're going to build something that massive mega-studios stru

The fact this made it past ANY cursory inspection at YC is kind of... hilarious? There's a good video[1] breaking down just how ridiculous this entire venture is. They have absolutely ZERO background in game development, yet are claimi

Each frame of the GIF in the banners took a noticeable amount of time to load back then, so the motion blur added to the movement effect, as well as signalling to the viewer that it was actually movement and not a static slideshow (which wa

The video is actually worth watching, this is probably one of the most blatant video game fundraising scams that have ever been attempted, and yet they somehow magically get YC backing. The people involved have ZERO background experience in

Seeing that motion-blurred animated GIF banner at the bottom gave me an intense nostalgia rush, I made a good living making those banners for a year or 2 back in the late 90s. $50-150 per banner ($25/frame), doing a few each evening, w

Wire is massively underrated in general. It’s got a slick UI that’s easy for non techies, it’s got native clients on all major platforms, and it has everything you really need from an e2e IM without the fluff. I’m surprised it doesn’t come

I did something similar for my kids, but I used Raspberry Pi’s running MusicBox, which can do internet radio, Spotify, local MP3s, or in my case load a folder of MP3s from a share drive on my network. I threw on a $10 USB DAC and some cheap

Yeah this was big among my age group in Australia too, in the late 80s early 90s. Pay phones only charged if the other end picked up, so it was an easy way to tell dad to pick you up or that you’d be late.

Similar for me, but I was always a bit morally dyslexic and decided to send “This school has been hacked” or some such. This was before computers were really used in school much other than the 1 computer room to teach touch typing and/
