They do, and a healthy bass boost. They isolate like no other though. The only other IEMs that I've used that come close are Shures.

Really? Sennheiser makes some really open in ear monitors (IEMs) and buds. I've found them to not be so good for traveling. I used to have Shures, then Etymotics, but the Etys broke. Now those made a plane sound like a quiet car ride.

You're asking the wrong question. Nearly all "audiophile-class" headphones are used for what most would consider casual listening. The distinction you want is "fun" vs. "neutral," and depending on who you ask you'll get very different answe

Can anyone give me a hint on level 02? I have absolutely no background in PHP, and only a little in HTML. If you wanna keep the message thread private you can email me too at billyman3 at gmail.

I think the time and money investment just isn't worth it. I'd fight it, but that's just me being an agitator. Even if you did win 10k, most of that money would go to lawyer's fees anyway.

The first thing I thought of when seeing this was the short story "the nine billion names of God." Except that this is a hair more than nine billion... Seriously though, this is impressive; it's so quick!

Just at a quick glance, I think LFE is a Lisp-2? At least, it bears more resemblance to Common Lisp than Scheme. I don't see any 'funcall' function though, so I could be wrong.

Cool stuff. What are the major differences between this and clojurescript?

But to their credit, that's not the point. This is touched upon in the novel--that it's the idea of rebellion that Guy Fawkes has become a symbol of, not what he was fighting for but that he was fighting at all.

I think the most interesting question is not what the "average" programmer (this study is likely skewed) whats, but what they're willing to do to get it. That 93% would take a significant cut to work somewhere is better is staggering to me

Which can be done just as well in lisps. The whole point was to show it in a way that didn't confuse the Java devs. ;Clojure example (defn get-from-list [list pred] (reduce #(if (pred %1 %2) %1 %2) list))

Interesting take, and a fairly convincing argument. I agree.

Haskell's advantages lie in being pure. It can't be 'friendlier,' because friendly languages let you hack things up (and are impure) as opposed to the planning required to lay down some Haskell.

I didn't read it, but I thought as much when I read "...companies like GoDaddy.com..." meaning the author had no solid proof. I'm no GoDaddy supporter (Dreamhost ftw), but this smelled like a reach to me.

Yes. Hell, I've uninstalled apps for their icon, because they weren't useful to me at the moment and visibly offended me.

Try checking our biggest ally Zoe Lofgren (of reddit fame http://www.reddit.com/r/SOPA/comments/nfhhy/member_of_house_... ). She's taking money from tech and VCs. She's really no better than he is, she just happens to be right this time.

The real question is what self-respecting programmer would instinctively reach for BASIC as the language to write a joke in? Methinks this says more about the jokester than he wanted to say...

Hear, hear. If there was any issue on which Wikipedia should break it's neutrality, it would be this one. With SOPA, they might be blocked anyway, so it would be a good introduction to the new Internet.
