Well it's already popular exactly for that reason, independent of the price. It's a simple and easy way to get the required nutrition. I think that says a lot about the future of the product.

I think it was a missed opportunity, most people who are that poor that calories matter are usually not the ones who do smart planning with their financial resources.

I wait for Soylent being mass produced, that would be an interesting baseline for this question. I mean there is a point of McDonalds not being 'bad' in general, it's a cheap way to get a full belly if you are living on the s

It's just a marketing thing where they offer 1 gig whatsapp traffic (still a cap). It's like 1000 free minutes, nothing else. Becoming a virtual provider works with E-Plus, that's why there are very innovative ones in Germany

This is just a trashy rant who scrapes everything together to demonize the big valley companies. There is no coherent message, he throws "monopolist" around like republicans "socialist". Not even starting with questionab

Your own/free software will run on your Raspberry Pi at home, or your independent hosting provider in Island etc. It just doesn't happen that much on the desktop any more. It's still up to you if you want to use the software

Yep, I hope it's not the dubbed crap everybody else has. I wonder if this is a licensing issue or a service issue.

Do you know the movie Idiocracy? That is basically propaganda for that idea. You have to see that in context, this was before the second world war and he wasn't aware that in the future you can manipulate/analyze genes. Today he w

And E-Plus the third biggest German carrier gets sold to Telefonica for $11.8 billion. Did anybody hear about that? Telcos wanna deny it but it's close to a commodity. This is mostly money shifting around. When was the last time they i

A FeedBurner "User" is not equal, this was a publisher service. The real target were the feed subscribers, or maybe they are where can I check the data? The same goes for Youtube, how many visitors did they have? They bring in the

Well even if something is "broken" you have to use it once in a while, how can you avoid function scope and typeof? Also sometimes you have to maintain code, so it's not a choice. There are always explanations that are helpfu

I wouldn't say that. The really nasty bugs come exactly from examples like these. This can save you hours at some point, I had to find some of them the hard way.

This is a general problem for hackathons, the idea of limiting something like development is impossible. Even if you don't code, you could plan the whole concept, user your super familiar framework and there is a huge difference to the

No, Dart is not CoffeScript. It really compiles, so you don't have to worry about it. The languages are so similar that stuff that is fast in Dartium will work pretty fine in JS.

Not a good comparison. Java and C# are both well designed server side languages. C# has the simple advantage of being younger and learn from Java in the real world. JavaScript in the real world is not even close to Dart. JavaScript is curre

It's not so much a social network. It's about content. I look there once a day for the occasional kitten gif and some interesting articles. I follow The Economist for example. It's okay, but nothing compared to HN or Reddit.

Who cares about what you think? Give some constructive criticism or shut up. Do you know how much code this is for a runtime and how many browser incompatibility issues this solves.
