I do think the timeline of web search getting fixed (yes, google is ASS) took a lot longer than I hoped, but seems like it's finally here. That being said, it's not a fair comparison to talk about 2011 google vs the AI market righ

Counterpoint: I was also a camp counselor in my teens and 20s, and I even taught homeschool. They were definitely easy to pick out, but I think in a good way. They were undersocialized with children, but felt way more at ease around adults.

Alternatively, homeschool meet-up groups, or cousins. I used to teach a homeschool PE class that was really just socialization with a theme.

If it's a mistake, it should course-correct. I agree that some of the smarter models are actually worse. I hope they take a model that's good enough--there are many--and just try to get it chatjimmy.ai speed. I have to think that&

Staying a little ways behind the leaders is not "slow and steady." Every company is moving very fast right now. I don't think slow and steady will win this race, but I think anyone can still win--especially Google.

Perhaps the model is able to evaluate that it's not done, and to keep pressing on in the face of mounting failures, until it eventually arrives at a solution. Where Fable can skip that.

I'm terrified to seed the RNG with words like "betray". I'll keep those way, way down the list of likely words.

Now it outputs the non-best version every time.

Agreed, but not if one of them was altered to contain a secret message. That one will have a distinguishable difference in quality. Maybe (almost certainly) negligible, but still there.

That's not the metric, though. You either output the best version, or you output something else. You can't do both.

I think it's really worth considering self-hosting these days. Doesn't take much of a machine to run a web app, for instance. I do a little of that, but for anything public I put it on a VPS. I use one of the big providers; they&#

You have big shady trees? That'll make it hard to grow grass. Some trees put out a chemical barrier to growth, as well. Red Cedar and Black Walnut do it around here.

We're not on the cusp, we're in the process. World-changing doesn't happen overnight. The internet didn't, either. This is like 1991 internet.
