They mention that they'd ideally want a natural ordering on the commit hashes. Something to do with their zero-tolerence security policy. What's the background there? Why do they need a natural ordering?

Thank you, I appreciate the honest feedback. My academic background is technical (math), but not CS. Been wanting to transition into another role. Not sure what exactly but within software development. Can I send you an email?

How would I go about making that kind of money? I'm planning on moving to London next year. My professional background is as a web dev.

Unrelated question: > with feeling and 4 part harmony What do you mean by this in this context? I tried googling it, but only found results on musical theory. I guess you mean this as a (funny) metaphore?

Sure Emacs is endlessly configurable. But it is too clunky for my taste. I realize this is sort of like complaining about trivial code style preferences in a code review, rather than looking at what the code at hand is actually doing. But E

A few years ago, a friend of my cousin became a licensed dentist here in Sweden. My cousin had to remove a tooth and his friend gave him, I assume, a lower price because they're friends... He removed a tooth alright, but the wrong one

I assume that, realistically, the JS is verified by outside experts (and not by the user), and that a check on the user's part would simply be comparing a calculated hash to a given one. I understand that this might not be how things a

Yeah, I saw this type of argument after I made my original comment that you responded to. While this argument undeniably makes sense, I guess it boils down to what assumptions are made about the user. Like, if we assume that the user is thi

Feel free to correct me on this, but in terms of ProtonMail's E2E, it's done entirely client-side (= in JavaScript), at least in the web UI. This was claimed on PM's website a while back iirc. So I believe this makes the clai

Interesting, OK! I've never heard "traveler" take on that meaning before. I was assuming the poster spoke of Romani people (or "gypsies", but this is a racial slur) and it was clearly out of context.

My plan was to get a MSc in Math, but I figured that no one (= employers) would care in the end, given my career in software development already. When I realized even I didn't care about the degree, I just stopped. But I do think the m
