That is probably referring to System Management Mode (privilege level/ring -2) and Intel Management Engine (privilege level/ring -3). Two very terrible things.

I strongly recommend adding a schema validator to anything that generates XML. ATOM¹ has a nice schema available² that you can use at the end to check the whole thing (I use xmllint³, since it is in a lot of package repositories). Another n

They are just not. The Honeywell switches feel like crap IMO. There are no cursor keys. A 104 key Unicomp has better switches and better ergonomics, and just as many function keys - the only thing missing is a 5th (Symbol) modifier key. All

Two people (you and moonchild) reply to my statement that ECL uses a C compiler as a JIT, and come to the exact opposite conclusions about what a JIT is. I think people are really confused about this topic. Again, look at the code and expla

GNU CLISP had GNU Lightning added as an option for compiling its VM bytecode in 2008. IMO a bad decision - more maintenance burden; code can now have subtle different bugs whether run in the CLISP interpreter, CLISP bytecode VM, or CLISP by
