I have heard from somebody else that using XMPP on Hangouts on Plus works. It doesn’t work for me. When I enter an XMPP address, all I get is “send invitation”, but nothing happens when I chose to do that. When sending a message from my XMP

Just to clarify: If you think you need a client because you are currently using an XMPP client with your gmail account, then you do NOT need to switch. See bullet point 1 — XMPP _clients_ are still supported. XMPP _federation_ is going away

Most computers with an Intel GPU are fine. The ThinkPad series is very popular and thus well-supported — note that I am only talking about the “original” series, i.e. ThinkPad X and T, e.g. the X230 or T430. Personally, I am running a Think

I really recommend NOT going with edis. I have sent my Raspberry Pi there and had constant trouble with it. It’s unreachable via IPv6 and/or IPv4 for long periods of time (days) and good luck contacting anyone about it. I will request to ha

In my experience, it is not so much the installation itself, but the regular maintenance and the many subtle errors that can occur, which make running your own email server NOT as trivial as you make it sound :). As for a few examples: 1. M

I think it would make the point much clearer if the author of that article would actually explain a use case for this (apparently incorrectly handled) syntax which I have never ever come in contact with :).

I’d say: don’t. The performance you will be getting is horrible. Ethernet is connected via USB on the Raspberry Pi, so while via Ethernet, you can achieve about 90 Mbit/s, that speed drops to ≈ 40 Mbit/s once you access a USB hard disk driv

So, they would essentially adopt the Debian way of doing things? Have a stable release every two years and updates (Debian testing) in between.

Consider that many German students (I don’t have numbers, just a subjective impression) get Bafög, a government-issued loan to pay for fees/rent/living.

That seems pretty cool, provided the computers are cleaned regularly and one has a workflow which is sufficiently non-local. Here are the primary reasons which always keeps me from using our university’s computer pool’s computers: 1. Horrib

I think this strongly depends on the area and the enemy faction. When they are quick to re-capture the portals, you have an incentive to immediately put in 2-3 hours again, depending on how many portals there are.

I just came back from another 2-hour session of ingress in my local town (≈ 10 minute bus ride from my home to the area with lots of portals). That’s the third 2-hour session this weekend, after another one on Thursday :). I definitely like
