I just finished my MSc Mathematics (in quantitative finance). If anyone is looking for a math or finance person that also knows some coding (basic C++, etc) I'd be willing to relocate.

I found it kind of cool how out of all the possible examples that aneth could have picked, this one actually happened.

Very nice. I like it more than evernote. There should be a way to save to the site without visiting (for instance, to send myself a bookmark). An Android app would be awesome too.

I don't know if you've seen this, but WolframAlpha now shows the steps to a solution in human-readable form. For example: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=integrate+xe^x+dx Click on "show steps" by the solution.

It's interesting that you bring this up. I was an econ undergrad, so it made me think of how this will change because of technology: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theory_of_the_firm

I guess I meant the former, but both work. I've been building up a large collection of blogs with this sort of info for my own reading. (I've put some up on http://quantblog.com/library , but the whole site is still a work in progress). I

Something that could get me to participate is if I saw more technical articles and resources, rather than the same financial news I can find anywhere. That will limit your audience, but could help develop a community.

I like it. I use to have something like the web tab that I had made for myself, but this is obviously more complete. I think the delete function should be more obvious (maybe something like how the iphone deletes apps) and when I add sites,

I think there is an exception for "facts," although it may only apply to individual facts, not a collectioon of them. Any one here know more about this?

I speak English and Spanish and was using the Pimsleur CDs to learn Japanese. I can't recommend it enough. I gave up when I had no one to talk to and yet after several years, I still remember quite a bit.

Good points (you and URSpider), it's just a regulation that really bothers me. Anyway, when I finish my MS in mathemetical finance, I plan to lose money through options instead :). (It's much faster that way lol!)

What's funny (well, sad) is that the government considers one an accredited investor by virtue of having money, not actual investment knowledge. You could have a PhD in finance, on the other hand, and be considered by law unsophisticated en
