Not the same game, as there is no cost (time, money) in the original idea to compensate for. In your version you have to work to achieve a goal.

So, what measures were taken? The problem is not sending packets fast enough. It's not about bandwidth. The problem is sending them just fast enough, which is impossible if you're scanning statelessly with just ICMP echoes. Let's say you

I guess it depends on what kind of results you want. It's possible to scan the public IPv4 address space reliably, but it requires a bit more effort than just sending out packets to see what you get back over a relatively short time frame.

As someone who works with this, I would like to know how they can be sure their results are reliable? Just starting a sender and receiver thread simply wont do. At that rate congestion happens, and we'll start seeing packet loss. With a sta

I don't know if it is. I think it can be, but it's not just about who's foreign born. It's an interesting subject. The US has been formed by immigration. Though at some point you should be considered assimilated. If my grand-grand parents e

Cheer up, mate. Always look on the bright side of life. I used to feel like that. To be honest, I still do, sometimes. Most of the time though, I try to broaden my perspective on things. So you're not the industry leader. So you're not the

No. Just no. As someone who has to maintain and build upon an RE based parser, no. They couldn't even get the RE right for URLs in the RFC, what makes you think they can get it right for HTML?

While I do not agree with the way this student was being treated, running Acunetix on a system is quite invasive. Regardless of his intent, the consequences might have been data loss and/or denial of service if the system was built poorly e

I think BrB 23:4 is relevant. Aiding a criminal act is in itself a crime. So the argument of "they're not distributing content themselves" is invalid. The argument should be about the legality of file sharing, property and ownership.
