We've deployed multiple applications without issue over extranet. We release our apps usually outside office hours so a dropped connection or two isn't an issue. Just make it clear when there will be maintenance.

Same here. Blazor Server is so awesome. It really allowed us to focus back on the business problems rather than getting some Stockholm syndrome about a library or framework that is actually just in the way and you have to take into account

I don't care for AirPods, HomePod or all the other accessoires. However I do want a smooth and consistent OS. Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile after that was that for me. Usually very smooth, clear design language, very consistent.

You get also quite limited, artificially, when using Firefox.

So with environment variables. I had supposed they would create a derived container and put it in a file somewhere.

> Almost all of these services have generous free tiers. Even if you're running a relatively high traffic site your bill will be practically $0. That is what gets you hooked.

Code Complete 2 is still relevant and advocates useful practices like these.

As DuckDuckGo uses Bing, is this the end of that search engine?

OP is obviously in some kind of bubble. IIS isn't as used as much as it used to be but it is still used a lot and not the COBOL of Web servers.

ASUS also supports NTFS. No need for using FAT32 (what the EFI partition is)

There are different manifestations of autism and some also have some slight benefits (the mild forms of ASD of course). I also wouldn't necessarily call it an disorder in that case, but just different thought processes.

From which point is a developer management?

> glibc ... To work with all (or at least most) Linux distributions released in the last years, you need to link against reasonably old versions of those libs. Well, except for Alphine which is a frequent source for tiny Docker container

So which works like Blazor Server?
858.
by sebazzz 4y ago
There are two facets to this: - It calls Docker (docker command) to build and run images - Visual Studio has an UI to manage containers and images (not sure what it uses under the hood for this)

Problem for developers in the Microsoft stack is that Visual Studio requires Docker Desktop to be installed - unless Rancher is able to fake that.

There used to be a PCI module (iirc) that would assist in that. I believe it was called a Bo(u)rne Again module. It was used in school computers etc.

SSDs are complex beasts :-) I've had an OCZ SSD in the past that also became read-only, in the sense that all changes after shutting down the computer were gone. If you rebooted everything was fine, but as soon as the computer was shut

I would love doing a C++ job, as the language is a proper challenge. However, being a C# Web developer pays much more, in The Netherlands. I've also missed the boat now, as I've gained more seniority I'm certainly not droppin

Isn't water the wrong solution then? In the fire triangle of fuel-temperature-oxidizer, you can also take away the oxidizer using foam, can't you?

I wonder if we can say that collapse is self-inflicted. Would it have happened if Russia went to be a more open and democratic society instead? Would it be more like the east European countries where a lot of labour is nearsourced?

Stage Manager is just as weird on the iPad pro. Suddenly I can't have an app full screen without turning stage manager off? So I need to end up switching it on and off all the time.
