I picked up an MPC X for a great deal some years ago but I find that using it feels like using a limited DAW instead of inspiring much creativity. As an engineer as well, I always have the urge to try to preserve and record my noodling with

Same, and these days my music desk is about half filled with half a dozen cases worth of modular synths, with a bread rack perpendicular to that housing some rack gear, too many effects pedals, and also too many standalone synths. I refuse

Another very good band that got famous from a song that is obviously way more poppy than their other excellent music: Jimmy Eat World. Check out their two albums before Bleed American : Clarity and Static Prevails , or even just track

End CA Prop 13 benefits for businesses or make them pay all the difference in back taxes when they sell the property. That would have the potential to massively help the budget and make things more fair for newer businesses moving in, so th

And I suppose type 2 diabetics should, instead of seeking medical treatment, simply stop eating cake and go for a run every morning?

I view the rise of React and especially Electron as the failure of things like GTK, Qt, and e.g. Swing to make a useable cross-platform GUI toolkit that isn't a total nightmare to work with / compile / debug / install &#

Seems like thie brine from desalination plants should be pumped into tailing ponds and dried out to get useful minerals out of it that could then be sold to help offset the cost and environmental impact of desalination. https://n
