I remember this one... ...it sure is interesting, especially that soak test or whatever that looks for leaks. So is the "preserving life time" idea, really. Although a lot of this, as the article points out is just for independent games. I

I would add more than just writing - as he touched on, all communication skills. And yeah, definitely not for only computer science majors. Any person needs to work on their verbal communication skills as well!

I wouldn't be too quick to write all cops off as bad. There are definitely a good number of "good" cops. We should make sure not to stereotype policemen because a few of them do something idiotic. I think a big problem with a lot of governm

That sounds like an incredible waste with the overhead. I absolutely don't understand it. I think people in those power positions really need to stop treating the whole structure like a black box and realize it shouldn't be that damn hard t

This is nice. It's always been tough to explain quickly to friends what MapReduce does and how it extends to things like Hadoop, without extending to the abstractions with keys and values and the like.

This is a bit ridiculous, and confusing, but it's not as bad as a lot of other fashion website things.

I'd say about 34 right now, once you account for occasional distraction. I usually have trouble focusing (on anything) for more than 3 or 4 hours at a time without a break.

I'm sure (if he hasn't already) he could definitely go to a few public schools (some of the rather worse ones, say in urban L.A. or something) to see how they work out. Might give him good ideas. It's a vital step to experience that stuff f

Most unfortunate, but letting a complete stranger into your house with VALUABLES was never the best idea, moreover, with a company that hasn't said anything about this kind of issue before. I suppose this system has worked, but it's beyond

Where do Flash games come into this? I'm not very familiar with the development of a flash game but some guy in this article claims "Flash will disappear" or something. I assume this means whatever source the games have will just be compile

I think it would be useful in some contexts, if a celebrity figure or some business's page says something someone doesn't like. I imagine the social factors behind it would make most people probably not use it with their friends - if it was

Another one added to the NP-hard list, mhm. Maybe some things to clear stuff up: NP-complete is a subset of NP-hard. NP-complete is entirely in NP, not all NP-hard are in NP.

It kind of sucks that people can't just treat it as is - a game, and go with it, but whatever...a cool idea, nonetheless.

I for one think this kind of mindset is ridiculous, only led by stereotypes of gamers and a general ignorance towards the video gaming community. First of all, the question being posed is sexist, it only asks about "men over 30", which tell
