And of course someone flagged this good article. The pro-China narrative on HN is real.

It's a common misconception that the name Brandy comes from the drink. All evidence shows the origin is just a feminine form of Brandon.

Ironically, this marketing blog does exist: > About This Blog > This was created by the Content Marketing agency Frac.tl as a demonstration This is just an ad.

I was plenty aware before. I was sharing my personal experiences. Someone who is a 37year old retail worker is free to share theirs as well. It appears like you are a bad actor and will dismiss anything that violates your 'reality'

Apologies- I meant to write rent. Even if their numbers include 2 BR apts, my point still stands: a single person affording rent for a 2 BR apt is not a reasonable baseline for a living wage .

I'm aware not everyone is like me. And also not everyone is a "37-year-old retail worker". If you want to dismiss my comment, that's fine, but you should delete your own to avoid hypocrisy.

It seems like you are trying to dismiss my comment based on silly ideas and projection. Overall, your comment is incredibly ignorant and offensive. > It manages to highlight its posters success I did not intend to do that, I was clearly

> a livable wage If someone can live in a 2/3 BR with roommates, that sounds pretty livable to me. I used to live in a house with 6 other people during college. I lived just fine.

Not in a house. Apartments, either a studio or splitting a 2/3 BR with roommates.

So perhaps they should split a 2/3 bedroom with roommates? If someone makes the absolute legal minimum, why does every expect them to live alone?

Why would a minimum wage worker be trying to buy a 2-bedroom home? Edit: Meant to say rent instead of buy

How do you fail to see that? More employees = More buildings, More work, More everything, etc. "I fail to see a casual relation between city size and carbon emissions. Why does New York City have higher emissions than McMullen, Alabama

i386 is a architecture. Really they should be calling it IA-32 which is the real name. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IA-32 i586 / i686 are later iterations of IA-32

The DoD is the world's largest employer. Unsurprisingly, they are the largest polluter. That doesn't make them hypocrites automatically.

Your logic makes no sense. We told Japan that we would drop a nuke on them. Does that mean it was all Japan's fault, and America created no risk?

The fact that it's owned by a private company is irrelevant to it's importance. Furthermore, "national" in this context doesn't mean "owned by the government", it means "domestic".
