Great idea. Was thinking of doing something like this for a while, but obviously the drawback is that you're suspect to being the exit node for someone who's doing something illegal, which is a risk I'm not willing to take fo

Yeah this works. If you're going to setup AlgoVPN might as well set it up on multiple locations (which I speculate is probably going to cost you n times more, given the n number of locations you choose). AlgoVPN works great regardless

Especially when you hop on a VPN; I kid you not I have to spent literally 20 straight minutes following this bs. It’s infuriating for someone who self-respects their privacy.

Well if you made a relatively dangerous product but don’t release it to the public, that shouldn’t be a problem... right?

Agree with the docs part. As I've explained in previous comments, can't really differentiate either AWS or GCP. But personally I'd say GCP is very slightly better; not sure exactly why, but probably due to the fact it's

Yeah that does work (which I have managed to pull off)... but I feel like it's a bit more of a pain (very slightly) to change the metadata, open up the ports and whatnot to ssh. I think AWS just tells you to download a .pem file and ss

Another thing that contributes to the mess of AWS UI is their docs. Probably a personal preference thing, but I don't like their cluttered UI for their docs either. Maybe if they had some developer advocates or pay websites/blogs

I don't really consider either having superior UI... but AWS's endless list of services when you click for the dropdown is a bit too much to handle. Not to mention how you'll have to use their search bar to get to what you wa

Not surprised. If AWS can't make their UI a bit more user-friendly (especially for beginners) and remove their AWS Educate for students (which by the way is horrible), I think a good chunk of developers and possible institutions might

Got an internship at Berkeley AI's Lab this summer as a HS student. Here's what I think when he says "luck": I emailed 50+ personalized emails over a span of 2-3 months to professors and anyone else I wanted to work with

Not to be narcissistic, but I can guarantee no whales are coming on anytime soon. Unless you control the keys and it supports cold storage, don't think it'll take off.

Interesting point. At the same time, if a person legitimately has an account (meaning it's their personal account) and decides to let everyone know of their entire personality, it won't be "pursuing an agenda". But reali

I do similar work (arguably a bit more intensive) on my 2016 MBP with the lowest specs possible (8gb ram, 2ghz cpu) and it's surprisingly silent most if not all the time. I have around 5-6 windows with 10-15 tabs each within them as we
