Also seems like a great idea to create a business models where the companies aren't incentivised to provide the best product possible. Instead they'll want to create a product just useful enough to not drive away users, but just u

I wasn't talking about the system prompts provided by users. I was talking about what the companies have to put between the users and the LLM.

Until you reach the human bottle neck of having to context switch, verify all the work, presumably tell them to fix it, and then switch back to what you were doing or review something else. I believe people are being honest when they say th

I doubt there's much you could do to make the output better. And I think that's what really bothers me. We are layering all this bullshit on to try and make these things more useful then they are, but it's like building a hou

There has been a massive uptick in anti-vax rhetoric over the last decade. As a result some Americans have decided to not vaccinate, and we are seeing a resurgence in diseases that should be eradicated. I have a three month old son. At the

Try to post a meme here, see how long it stays up. More seriously, it's just not this simple man. I know people really want it to be, but it's not. I watched my dad get sucked down a rabbit hole of qanon, Alex Jones, anti-vax nons

Not wanting to work with a racist asshole isn't cancel culture. It's common sense. Also, this isn't a new fucking phenomenon. I remember when Ellen DeGeneres came out as gay (before everyone knew what an ass she was), and it

I didn't understand why anyone would think that way. Python has new package management/build tools all the time and to my knowledge there's no drama about it, other then the normal dev arguments over which tools are best.

I've never written a line of Ruby in my life so this is coming from an outsiders perspective, but after this I don't know how anyone ever works with these people again. I would think the entire community would start finding ways t

The number you have running is irrelevant. Primarily because humans are absolutely terrible at multitasking and context switching. An endless number of studies have been done on this. Each context switch cost you a non-trivial amount of tim

That line of thinking makes no sense to me honestly. We are years into this, and while the models have gotten better, the guard rails that have to be put on these things to keep the outputs even semi useful are crazy. Look into the system p

I'm the same. I just use Docker/Podman from the terminal. I know some people really like the GUI but I've never been able to find a workflow better than the cli with some scripts or compose. Cool for Podman Desktop though.

In general I agree with you, Zig is obviously trying to give as much control as possible and avoid higher level abstractions, but it's not like they haven't added elements to the language to improve ergonomics and make the right c
