Even if you aren't driven by profit, it's pretty sad to spend time to create content and only have a handful of people see it.

Yeah housing prices in a lot of areas have barely recovered to the last peak from 12 years ago (and housing equity has traditionally comprised most of the "middle class"'s wealth), while stocks are like at least double (not e

I switched over a website in a not competitive area to a new domain over the summer and search referrals dipped like 50% and recovered just this month. I'd imagine in something more competitive like logo/brand design they could ge

It's probably confirmation bias. Luxury college student housing definitely exists, but it's for rich Americans and rich foreigners. The maximum you can get in Federal undergraduate student loans as a dependent freshman is $5.5k &#

I think it depends on what circles you run in. I used to work in operations and there are definitely programs to get women in trucking, because for the employers it's a no brainer to get the potential labor pool to expand.

The MRA groups, on Reddit at least, seem to spend more time blaming other people for things that are affecting men versus figuring out ways to overcome the issues.

So many companies think that their automated processes are great, but then they block users from giving feedback on when it's wrong, so they never hear otherwise.

I've found products are hard, but services can be easier especially ones with free trials/free tiers. But like, I had one going pretty well and then it dried up. For me personally, I find it harder to want to do affiliate program

If you know what your readers would buy, you can sign up for affiliate programs that they might be interested in and basically serve rotating ads yourself. It's definitely a lot more work, and becomes more worth it the bigger and more

I don't think I've ever seen DDG show up in my logs, and I found this article from a web host that listed out their top crawler traffic and DDG doesn't even register (but something called Sogou is): https://devicea

So I hate defending Amazon, but the article cites the "National Council for Occupational Safety and Health" which is not affiliated with the government despite having a name very similar to the CDC's National Institute for Oc

It's funny they mentioned flowers, when today most online flower delivery services deliver bouquets that are often don't even look inspired by or related to the picture they put online.

That's a great story, and I think something a lot of people need to hear things like your story especially for the jump from school to working. I have a friend who basically became a nomad and only recently landed his first profession

At minimum devices should be able to be disassembled without high risk of destroying the device. Some phones are so complex with glue and flex connectors you might accidentally snag or snap something just by trying to look inside.

Yes if anyone can mass produce chicken of the woods (not to be confused with hen of the woods) that would be awesome. It makes the best fake chicken nuggets. The texture is spot on, and when it's battered and fried the mushroom taste

I think it's great that you know what you want to do and like. The income from your website is probably very mentally freeing, because you could do a lot of different things with your life but you can choose not to.

Yeah I would like to have a tool to purge a lot of messages from history. I don't want people in the future to sift thru my messages and wonder why I and my friends were so weird in Facebook chats.

It seems like the most reliable support system with Google is to have a SWE friend who works there who will document and enter tickets for you, which is completely absurd for a company of their size.

I read the linked sources and that statement is 85% of clothes disposed are sent to the dump and 15% are recycled. Not that 85% of what is produced is sent to the dump in the same year. Granted its all going to the trash eventually.

That sounds kind of dangerous for DDG to be relying on Verizon owned Yahoo to serve them results from Bing.
