Studios store a lot of builds for a lot of different reasons. And generally speaking, in AAA I see PlayStation being the biggest pig so I would wager their PS builds are at least the same size if not larger. People knew and probably raised

I played around with it and I have to agree. It treats the user like they're dumb, regardless of what personal context you provide it. I found myself backtracking constantly to invalidate it's assumptions, to the point that I gave

Idk, I assume it's about the heavy feedstock in the Orinoco Belt that our industrial base is addicted to and our own Gulf Coast refinery system. If the MIC gets to test out some new toys in the field along the way they just consider th

It seems like an easy move to make to me. If you say it's WMDs, you have to eventually turn out the WMDs. If you say it's cocaine, well there's plenty of coke in Venezuela. It's dead simple to tie it to Maduro and label

Yes. The ship has sailed and in fact it sailed away many, many years ago. Modernity now has to reckon with Brandolini's law at the scale of these AI systems, which, depending on the system you're inside of, can vary from "thi

Probably so, assuming that what it spits out is actually real and not some hallucination, but that's not at all a given. And I also assume that the people most inclined to regurgitating what an LLM spits out are also heavily overlapped

Further, what's to stop anyone from pumping text into an LLM and then re-writing it's output to match their own style, etc.?

I've only been put under once and it was when I was very, very young (3 for hernia surgery, I'm in my mid-40s now) and I had a similar experience, except I came to ~half way through and picked up my head, wondering what the fuck w

Fair enough, but I've always interpreted it differently. I don't view it as "punting" so much as acknowledging what the hard part is. But I agree that "you can't control others, you can only control your resp

The Serenity Prayer has been around for about 100 years now. I find myself repeating it fairly often, especially now that I've got young children.

Second button from the top on the right shuts most of those things up in my experience. If not hit every button, usually one of them will work.

Depends. I see the teams around me slowly being corralled like cattle, no longer doing the corralling. My own team is still chiefly cowboys but the writing is on the wall and as we grow younger we lose more and more footing in this battle.

I gave it a PDF recently and asked it to help me generate some tables based on the information there in. I thought I'd be saving myself time. I spent easily twice as long as I would have if it I had done it myself. It kept making trivi

Dealing with this at work right now. A newly promoted lead is struggling to delegate and all of the work coming out of his team right now is instructions on how to do what they believe they want. Very frustrating!
