Yeah, in large projects that span a number of developers I agree with you. In a project that only I will ever touch? Like my personal blog? No way am I not going to reach for the most powerful featurea of a language. That sounds like exactl

We had this tropical storm in SoCal last weekend. It was confusing to see people crowing that they didn't suffer any damage as some sort of victory in being right (which is also confusing, because they were conflating awareness of the

I've used Python intermittently throughout my career but today it is my primary language. I've also never really had issues and have pretty much always stuck with the basics. I'm not on a very large team, though. Only 5 devel

Homes are still moving in my area of Orange county. Average home sale is > 2x what we paid in the first half of 2016. Jumbo loans at 7%. It truly blows my mind.

It's sort of a meme but I experience this pretty frequently with running. I've been a distance runner for over 30 years now but when I have a long run and I wake up and I'm just not feeling it, I will stare at my running shoe

Odd, we've had steady rain in south Orange county since around 5am. It was downpouring for about 30 minutes between 6 and 7am. It's slowed a bit now but it's still been raining nonstop.

It started raining in Orange county around 5am. I went out for a run at 6am and it started to downpour shortly after. It's slowed a bit now but it's been raining nonstop.
