Article doesn't mention one of the more interesting (to me) aspects which was how feedback was avoided. The solution is elegant: each vocal microphone is doubled, meaning there are two at each position. The phase is inverted on one of

Only very indirectly. It's actually because of a 2012 rule that kinda-sorta-normalizes emissions credits by vehicle size, creating a perverse incentive for manufacturers: https://www.resources.org/common-resources/

Eh, maybe? There's got to be _something_ for sociopathic ex-squaddies to do who don't want to go back to civvie street. I found their existence believable, if not the high speed Range Rover driving stuff. It's very clearly no

That was a brilliant show. Not just because of Gary Oldman. Well-drawn characters throughout. I've just started season 3 so no spoilers please :)

Hmm, what’s starlink needed for if it’s completely autonomous? Satellite internet covering oceans has been around for a while - but the hard part of fully autonomous sailing is not a low latency backchannel for telemetry :) Some small, dron

Ha, I'm glad you capitalized on what was a great opportunity for a bit of inter-coastal banter. I'm only sorry my response was delayed. Perhaps we can reconcile our feelings at a holistic soul-healing retreat :)

Felt that very strongly in southern Westchester county NY. Not like the 2011 earthquake I felt in NYC, which was kind of slow and made the building I was in sway violently; this was more like the vibrations from a huge truck passing nearby,

Right? Took a while to parse and fix that: "We didn't not stop because we don't like the guy, we didn't not stop because we weren't interested... we didn't stop because life goes on." Then the other gu

True, they're bona fide classics these days. but what is telling is that an image search for "rusty delorean" returns a lot of broken cars, but none covered in rust. Here's the worst I could find: https://i.pi

Not a huge amount. I don't think you can "coat" (i.e. electroplate) one type of steel over another. You might consider chrome or nickel plating the thing but the costs would be quite high and it'd flake off in time anywa

Yep - I cheaped out on some 304 grade fixers in the engine room on my saltwater boat and they were rusty garbage inside of a season. And that was just salty air, no direct water contact.

John DeLorean managed to make a fleet of stainless cars in the 1980s, in troubles-torn Belfast, financed mostly by cocaine deals. And his cars didn't rust. Don't want to risk Dang's ire here with a snarky dismissal so here&#x
