Good find. Looks like a good amount of the interior ergonomics did make it to production cars: it reminds me a lot of the early 90s Citroen BX. Very similar steering wheel, wrap around buttons on the driver's binnacle. And the hydropne

Private offices for managers and more senior types, desk farms for the hoi polloi, and a separate, deafeningly loud typing pool. Very much like today's open plan, but with individual desks with some separation rather than long benches.

That's a very sad story. You are right, the inescapability is very hard to imagine. My own kids are 5 and 3. I am acutely aware that this problem is looming for us. So far, my kids almost never play with our iPhones beyond FaceTiming g

Well here's a suggestion: A recession manifests to a kid as a traumatic event - mom and lose their jobs, the family has to downsize, you get pulled out of private school. Big, bad things. But after that, it's done; kids are adapta

This is thoughtful and well researched. It is really worth reading properly; it deserves more than a tiresome, reflexive quotation of Betteridge's law and the assumption that smartphones are a universal good. There's actual data:

Well you don't need to do that, because the left wing has a red light, right has green. So as long as you're comfortable with the very reasonable assumption that the plane isn't upside down, you know which direction it was go

A good point, won't argue with you. But, at the risk of moving the conversational goalposts, I was thinking about the whole developer experience as much as just the language itself. With Swift, you can live entirely within Apple's

There's more than a whiff of that in the article, for sure. Author at one point is put off Native by having to learn a "more complicated" language, i.e. Swift. It's hard to defend the assertion that Swift is more complic
