There are API methods that directly handle recovery. However, it wasn't until recently (earlier this year) that the App Store review process finally required developers to implement the restore mechanism.

I was very impressed by Siri the other day. I asked "Find me pictures of Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat" And Siri responded by asking whether I wanted to search for "Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat", getting the spelling exactly correct.

I think you are right. Was just browsing the app store and seeing a number of apps getting 1-star reviews because of recent updates.

It definitely seems like multiple people can be involved if there is uncertainty on whether to reject the app. From experience, I've found that if my app is sitting in "In Review" status for more than a certain number of hours, it's likely

Any developers know how to change an app update that is "Waiting for Review" from "Automatically Release" to "Hold for Developer Release?"

Wow 12 days. Haven't had to wait that long for a few years now. Probably also a slew of updates due to developers updating keywords caused by the recent change to the App Store search algorithms. http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=415361

Thank you so much for the response. It's really insightful. I haven't read too much about developer experiences on the Mac App store, so I'm really looking forward to your next blog post. Thanks again!

here's how I justified it. Say you use your new air for 2-3 years. Say you spend around 20% of your days using it. That is about 5000 hours. Say you get 10% speedup using 1.8ghz i7 vs 1.7ghz i5. That saves you about 500 hours of time. 500$
