Just as an uninformed guess, wouldn't docker effectively be just moving the postgres process to another cgroup task group, where it might be scheduled more fairly when the benchmark process is hogging the system?

I've always thought that since an (iOS) app needs to be fully self contained, having only static linking makes perfect sense. You also gain dead code stripping, and linking only the archs that the main binary supports as well. Most lib

This same problem manifests with Java as well, where some methods that claim to return UTF-8 on closer inspection actually return “modified UTF-8”, which is broken the same way. Notably I ran across this in with JNI function GetStringUTFCha

I've had a kimsufi/ovh dedicated for a few years now. I switched when I was comparing various vps prices, and was annoyed by the small disk (and ram) sizes provided for the cheaper plans. I'm on a plan that isn't available anymore, but it w

Nice! Didn't know there was work to add ASan to gcc too. ASan is already in Clang[1], and I've heard some of rumours of a ‘Thread Sanitizer’ as well. All kinds of interesting projects brewing inside of google, it seems :) [1] http://llvm.o
