The newer iphones block 850nm almost completely. I was shining one at a half watt led just the other day and couldn't see anything. Can't remember the iPhone model.

If it replaced a DNP part, it could have been found at a flying probe test. Half the expected impedance on a few of those pins? Also AOI might have picked up a difference.

You also "need" to have growth because the population grows. Simply, if GDP or energy use is flat, that implies lower GDP or energy consumption per capita. The latter may be explained by efficiency, but the former would imply redu

I've mostly been a free market advocate for housing, alongside sensible zoning that keeps, say, chemical plants away from schools. However, I was recently convinced of one aspect of town infrastructure that really requires thoughtful m

Unless absolutely necessary, putting drive motor mechanisms and flying mechanisms on the same package is a waste of efficiency. Why have your engine pull the extra weight of your propellers...and why have your propellers lift a drivetrain?

Also....a 6 DOF arm seems like overkill for this. Hell, you could probably get away with just shoulder yaw and an extra-wide gripper.

It's certainly city thinking, I agree. However, if the demand for personal vehicle ownership in cities drops but stays level in suburban and rural areas, the overall demand still drops (or, perhaps, doesn't grow in the next decade

Yeah, didn't really have time to flesh this out, especially if it's carbon filler material vs. continuous. I haven't worked enough with CF to know what its shielding effectiveness is but I imagine given the size of that Phase

One of the things the static images won't do justice is the leap in quality between a regular 360 degree fisheye still/video and the panomoments. Definitely worth trying out on the phone as the difference is difficult to describe

Many of those threats are technologically solved and the improvements will be iterative. Our R&D needs to focus on projected future threats. Also, our last two "wars" were no real threat to our country. We don't need dire
