I'll probably end up doing the same. For now we're just duplicating things in two places.

As a relatively new Kubernetes user, the big thing on my wishlist is templates (for example so I can share YAML between my production and staging environments). Unfortunately the k8s team have already said "no" to that, and point

What if the substitute was specifically created to be as positive an addition as possible, with built in tools designed to help boost users' willpower and help them grow? I'm not sure how viable such a thing would be given that mo

There also doesn't seem to be any color choice. I realize you probably meant "positive differentiator" but there you go. :)

Any of Sherwin Tija's books are humorous, well-illustrated takes on the genres that are definitely not for kids. Plus most of them feature cats! (The original is "You Are a Cat") https://www.amazon.com/s/

How do they plan on dealing with vandalism and theft? Those robots look pretty defenseless.

Note that a human doesn't "plug in" to the rest of the launch vehicle the way a satellite does. I imagine they _would_ do these tests with the crew compartment attached and dummy human loads strapped in to the crew seats.

Wow, that's a lot of anecdata and personal feelings. The truth is that pretty much any car on the market today will protect its occupants in a crash. More anecdata: my wife was in an accident last Friday - she hit a deer at highway sp

Yes indeed. I'll trust Docker in production when I can go 6 months without hitting any weird bugs like that, or having to wipe out `/var/lib/docker` and restart the daemon to get it out of some inexplicable state.

What blocker do you use that has decent blacklisting support? I tried a few some months back and went back to Ad Block Plus with whitelisting. I'd rather blacklist though. I want to support sites that use unobtrusive advertising, but

It depends. I used to take a lot of ibuprofen (generic Advil), and I found that generic ibuprofen is often wax coated, probably because it's cheaper. Real Advil is sugar coated and much easier to swallow.

For me even that's annoying enough. On a mac it's consistently command-x command-c command-v everywhere, whereas in Linux I have to think "oh, I'm in a terminal now, use shift", and if you get it wrong things screw

Hey, since this is HN, I should point out how nice it was to page through that article and NOT have to deal with any fancy CSS / JavaScript scrolling tricks. Very nice, Globe and Mail.

I also find the Android alarm to be not nearly persistent enough. The clock radio I have at home goes off until you turn it off or snooze it - for hours if needed. But the Android alarm stops after a few minutes, and I've slept throu

I rent a lot of cars and I've seen some really bad touchscreens. But the Toyota Camry has a great one (as does the Prius) so it's possible for them not to suck. Hopefully all the car companies will get there soon :) Off topic, I
