Add birth control to that list too. After these technologies, certainly life is "normal" as in "life goes on" but the social impacts are most definitely new and transformative. Fast travel, instantaneous direct and mass

Like many AI-driven products, the marquee use case they show is useless. "Job offers that require my signature"?? I am going to have one of these in the air at one time and will not be too busy to keep track the relevant emails! I

Yep. The great thing about the expectation of suit is always knowing what to wear.

Are families socialist, or clannish and nepotistic? I don't think you can run a country like a family, especially a multicultural transcontinental one.

I agree with the sentiment, but LLMs have already had a lot more adoption than VR and Crypto.

Fiber optic and data center build out in the nineties is similar. Overinvestment led to a bust for a period, but the infrastructure was useful and provided the foundation for the next wave of Internet growth. LLMs could be similar.

US mortgage rates are typically 30-year fixed. In Europe aren't they typically variable rate and shorter times? Both impact the rate significantly.

In my experience, hardware people in the top decision making roles are the cause of degradation of software quality, not the solution. They often don't understand the nature of software and software product management.

The fixes are really really minor. Larger functional bugs that aren’t catastrophic are hanging out. That said, it’s been fine for me and I’m still using it. I don’t see any reason to abandon it yet. When the company fails maybe they’ll open

You can do all that in VS Code with the vim extension. I'm with you on the vim keystrokes, but configuring debuggers, code completion, etc. in vim never seemed worth the effort. With VS Code and vim keybindings, it's the best of b
