Yeah, I'm using them as soft bookmarks. Turn them into hard bookmarks every month or so, not to actively look at them, but the firefox address bar searches in bookmarks as well and offers them up first when typing, so I have a reposito

Don't have kids myself, but as a source, I was once a child. Isn't the big problem then even if you do limit the time, it then becomes an even bigger want because we always want what we can't have? What's your experience

I've only started using gui search since using fedora. the tracker search in the activities view is fast and finds files in the home folder by name pretty well. The only shame is that the pdf-content search doesn't work in the mai

ByteDance shared the TikTok content recommender, which I'd argue is somewhat close to an ad recommender :)

I'm incredibly grateful for MIT OCW and consorts. I've been using it as a secondary resource for my subjects and learning about the same topic in two different ways is incredibly helpful, especially hard to grasp ones.

They ported it to 64Bit proper last year, and that helped performance on modern systems a bunch! Of course, it's still a far cry of being able to run on the hardware of the time it came out in 2000.

As long as it's still possible to also use SQL queries with it it's fine, right? I know some people who prefer using ORMs and some who like writing SQL.

I bought it to revise my intro to computer engineering course before the exam and it worked pretty well for that. Didn't hit any bugs and it also was content complete as far as I could tell

Oh hey, I used phind a lot a while back and really enjoyed it. Sort of fizzled out of it for other stuff a few months back, but this looks pretty exciting! The visual explanations are great. I've been getting gemini to output ASCII dia

This is a good type of feature. I've been super happy that WhatsApp finally added events recently, it's made seeing who will be coming to an event or not so much easier. Them adding polls a while back had already improved that a b

I think that's the least of the problems, if there's anything we're good at it's adding superlatives to product names. You can call it Hyperintelligence, Quantum Intelligence. Although you have a point with the snake-oil

Imma be honest, I was pretty convinced by the "if we have strong trade relations where it's almost codependent, they will not try stuff". That was probably wrong, but we were also way more dependent on them than the other way

Yes, it even says so as a requirement on the box. What I'm also interested in is whether they'll require a PCIE 4.0 motherboard or if a 3.0 x16 slot is fine. Also whether their software properly supports VR now...

Somewhat tangential to the article, but I've long been a supporter of gradually introducing a tax on added sugar or sugar in general (with appropriate taxing on other sweeteners as well), and make it really hurt for added sugars for me
