Also, could you email me at michael@codecombat.com with details on what stats you'd like to have access to?

That's a great idea! I'll add it to my todo list. Right now, there isn't a nice and well documented way to do this as we haven't ever had demand for an API like that. You can reverse engineer the POST for the code rankin

Yep, they could. If people start doing that to mess up results, we have ways of remedying that situation. We haven't had to deal with any cheaters thus far as our users are pretty awesome (and there really is no reason to cheat). We&#x

Hi michaelmior, Those simulations are used to calculate the public leaderboards during the competition. They aren't used for final rankings as the simulation results need to be validated. However, they provide a nice way for people to

That's quite impressive! It is apparent our analysis of GitHub events didn't account for "super-repositories" like this, as this would be the fastest growing repository on GitHub by a large margin, dwarfing large project

Looking at OpenStack, it does look like an aggregate of all of the organization's repositories would be definitely the fastest growing. However, we looked at individual repositories, so that's why it's not on the graph. It wo

Actually, the Linux kernel, Android, and Apache are all on GitHub, and were analyzed (though the latter two are mirrors, so I guess not purely on GitHub.) For projects like Linux, while it may have 3500+ contributors, it got that way over 2

You're right, that's true. It's not the ideal metric, but it's one that is realistic to compute with limited time and resources. To analyze that statistic using a growth metric like "largest 30 day average contribut

Hi mkal_tsr, you have a valid point there! Popcorn Time is awesome, and if it continues (unlike the other Popcorn Time repository) it will eventually pass CodeCombat. However, it might also experience some event or plateau, like Pullup did,

Hi @Robadob, great suggestion, thanks for pointing this out! You can actually view the code for these functions in the Level Editor, but obviously it would be much more awesome to have a way to view them from inside the game. We have to str

This will be a very interesting thing to study. Our leaderboard rankings tend to be extremely fluid, and I wonder what the net effect tends to be in terms of impostor syndrome.

Hi dkhenry, That would be a really fun game mode! It would require a lot of thinking about game mechanics and the technical challenges involved, but it's definitely possible, but probably not in the immediate future. I think if we impl

Thanks AUmrysh! If you use `this.getEnemies()` it will return an array of enemy objects, and each one of these objects has a `type` property.

That level editor is awesome(and the 2.5D physics must have been painful to program.) When the source is released, I can't wait to see what people do with it!
