I've been using this myself for a month and it definitely cut down on the time I spent on Youtube. You have fine grain control over what gets hidden, including comments, suggested videos, the frontpage, playlist, infocards and so on.

Okay, I'll look into it. The issue is the screen, which apparently needs to be replaced as a whole because Apple integrated a faulty 6 $ display cable into the panel to make it thinner. And the screens are only available from Apple...

I already sent it in - they only replace it for free with 13 inch models. There isn't any Apple Stores nearby. I think I'll take it to a repair shop
