You can access it without voice, by opening Assistant (long-press Home, double-press Power, etc.) and then typing "Lens" into the search box. Ridiculously, there's no way that I can see to get an app shortcut icon to it.

More time spent on roads does not mean more economic activity occurs. Time spent in traffic is unproductive. Also, land used for roads cannot be used for other economic activities.

More frequent service on the subway doesn't require vast amounts of land to be removed from productive activity. At most it might require a small expansion of stabling facilities for extra carriages and engines. Induced demand means th

The article says that "dreams are primarily visual". That might be true for most people (and for the researchers), but I'm aphantasic and I don't think I've ever had a visual dream. My visual cortex seems to work pe

If you're driving along a road with parked cars, you slow to a speed where if someone (say a 4 year old child) jumps out you can stop within your reaction time. Anything else is dangerously reckless.

That's impossible in the general case, since it's trivially equivalent to the halting problem (take the UB-detecting compiler, have it perform UB iff the program has no UB, run it on its own source code). What we can do is a combi

"printf" isn't magical, it's a standard va_args function. There's plenty of ugliness in the implementation [1] (so many macros!) but that's to be expected from something that has to simultaneously parse a forma

Surface of a sphere depends on how large the fence is compared to the sphere. If the fence is small, the answer is the same as the plane version. If the fence is as large as possible (an equator) then the rope needs to be precisely one quad
