Interesting. There is nested gambling in this story. The first is actually gambling in the casino, and then the gambling on the value of the currency being used.

I know some partisans here in the US hate Nancy Pelosi, and it's an easy piece of red meat to attach her to the Big Government boogeymen, but in reality, don't you think someone a bit higher up on the totem poll would be owning Google if th

Well, then just use git svn to update the master of his fork to match the official PHP svn. It'll just be a fast forward anyway. Two birds with one stone.

I'm just pissed that he didn't even bother to actually fork the project. On Github! WOW! All the previous commits before the fork? Gone. Poof. It's completely without any context. Even though there's a big "FORK" button!

Why oh why didn't he fork php/php-src, make a branch for his changes, then commit as he went along? This just ends up as a big patchbomb. They're never going to merge his changes, and I don't blame them. EDIT - Hopefully we can straighten t

Implementing a high order programming language in a low level language, like C++ Oh dear, I can see the old timers coming up the hill, ready with their rants about how C and C++ are now considered low level languages. ;)

Declaring that you've never programmed in Java, then cherry-picking a type from the language and asking why Python doesn't have it, is quite ironic, given the vast differences in typing between the two languages.
