It’s normally a good idea to understand something you are criticising. Pantone do not ‘claim’ colours. They provide exact colour mixes for a variety of differing substrates and materials that guarantees exact replication. For that vast majo

Clearly not. I see the claim on every post that mentions ProtonMail. As far as I am concerned, ProtonMail is quite simply snakeoil at this stage.

I’m a weird freakish anomaly that actually prefers lighter color schemes. I’ve found that, with some tweaks, the default light scheme in Sublime Text to be pretty awesome. It’s calle Breakers. The greys are a little too light, but I find th

I think this is a much clearer take, well, at least to me! The key here, and if I'm mistaken - forgive me, is that a good manager needs to be a good communicator, but doesn't get in your way. By the same token, it can be said that

Yes, but in order to do the level of management you are asking, it necessitates they become micro managers. This is a considerably worse state of affairs, as you allude. Managing is about helping you grow as an employee, helping you with yo

I think this is exactly what is going on. The last change saw a few long threads here decrying Apple as the AntiChrist for daring to make the change, and arguing for Micro USB, which was and remains a bad standard.

I don't think they are overpriced, I think that they price their product realistically . They're competing in a niche market and the ethos of that niche means that their target customers categorically will not accept the bloat th

I highly recommend reading "Who Moved My Cheese?" By Dr Spencer Johnson. I'm not one for self-help books, but this really did make me think about how I look at change generally.

Lol! If you live near a store, take it in. I’ve had lots of good experiences with Apple stores and soft/hardware issues. The ‘geniuses’ can be a a bit full of themselves, but all in all outcomes are good.

The "Backwards compatibility" issue is an interesting one. For years, companies like Adobe used OSX upgrades as an excuse to force paid upgrades. Hardware manufactures did (still do?) this with Windows drivers. The other side is t

Gordon Brown selling off our gold reserves wasn't the smartest move. But as you mention, the UK hasn't seen growth in our GDP since 2010. Which Party has been in power since May of 2010?
