I met some people down in Colombia who were doing customer support for Fitbit and I know that they still have some presence there as of ~2 weeks ago.

Almost certainly HackTECH; it was held in a mall in Santa Monica right by the beach. I’m almost sure Evan came but it wasn’t to give a formal talk, but rather take a pretty low-key stroll-through. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me. I di

I remember back in 2013(?) I went to a collegiate hackathon in Santa Monica. Evan Spiegel showed up to walk the floor and someone showed him how they had sniffed the API and did something interesting with it (forget the particulars now, get

I've recently been working on a greenfield project with Bootstrap and I've been really pleased with the development velocity by the core team. They're beginning to implement a icon library too, which will complement nicely wi

Glad I'm not the only one. Does it seem to cover all Google services? That's what I'm experiencing and seems like folks on Twitter are seeing the same: Are you in the southeast US as well?

Sure thing. I'm interviewing for "senior software engineering" roles: full-stack, approximately 3-5 years out of school. To clarify, they specifically ask about the Instagram feed. Basic answer goes like this: v0: Webserver h

Abruzzo is amazingly beautiful. It is similar to California in that you can go to the beach and ski in the mountains on the same day. My great-grandfather immigrated to the US from Alanno, a small village on the other side of the mountains

Is it? You already laid off a large percentage of staff. Your product teams will have seen the data showing cratering revenue. Your top engineers are almost certainly already looking for new jobs anyways. You know you are going to have to m

Dara hinted in his first email that there were more layoffs on the way. I consider them to be a single layoff, one portion of which took more time to execute.
