I assure you they are all paying for promoted tweets, ads, or using expensive social media tracking tools to monitor usage, respond to requests etc. in one way or another. Twitter is a pretty big part of any modern online company’s strategy

I could imagine (just guessing): submit new repo -> scan with Smyte -> on success, publish repo. Maybe not handling an error properly and skipping Smyte. This problem creeps up with external mfa/2 factor auth APIs that go down, b

Can you provide an example of a cobol script for doing a basic CRUD etc task that you find inspiring/simple/makes the point?

I have a few reseller accounts from over the years and it’s rare to find one with 2 factor auth or even a modern ui. Network Solutions has SRSPlus, while it works, is horrid.

Maybe they licensed the tech or used a plexiglass? Not a lawyer, but was curious myself why it wasn’t used more so had just googled about it.

With GraphQL you have the flexibility to utilize both REST and RPC patterns, with the added benefit of a type system and ability to choose the fields returned on the client. You can write common CRUD queries/mutations similar to how yo

I think depending on the city, sidewalk laws are different. I think in Denver I saw that you had to stay on the sidewalk, the road was off limits. Not sure though.

The specific import of the server lib is the non-Apollo express-graphql, which is under the graphql org on GitHub. I only looked briefly, not sure if there’s another example. I know the book is still a work in progress.

If you made a custom scalar, wouldn’t you have control how it’s deployed across the different languages you choose to implement it? Truly curious. I haven’t attempted to work with a broad range of languages for my own services.

The Apollo team has apollo-server and apollo-engine-js. I've had good results with both of those.

From what I've seen by glancing through, it's mostly JS -- Node.js (express-graphql), React, and packages from the Apollo GraphQL team (react-apollo). I've been using these over the last year and can recommend checking them o

I agree. I think it's good for the overall GraphQL community to have John's support. I purchased the book out of support for his work mainly, but I know it will be a good read as well.

I agree with this. I would be comfortable moving more code to serverless if this weren't as big an issue. I think having a GraphQL server as an API to the database may be a good solution, since it can handle a variety of queries/m

I’m a big fan of code generation. I can usually adapt to new formats or concepts without too much issue. I feel that while it’s not difficult to build up strings dynamically, the harder part can be overwriting and verifying values, and work
