Another cool company I've used for the office - Floyd, you buy the legs, and build a desktop/door etc. Can recommend. We built our tops out of 2 sheets of nice grade Russian Baltic Birch plywood glued/screwed together. More e

PRTG has a pretty good device map, that integrates pretty seamlessly with the monitoring data it collects, but it's geared for more traditional network/IT environments. They do have cloud stuff now, but I like that Arcentry is bui

I'd be interested in getting the ui/diagrams via an API, so I can integrate into our app, render in custom ways. Not using an iframe or embed, but just the structure of a diagram that was built earlier on your normal platform, may

I don’t really like Evernote/too heavy for my needs, but the OCR feature for handwriting/transcribing whiteboard sessions etc, was top notch. It’s cool to search your notes and get results from random whiteboard text, very usable.

Awesome that you added the api feature so soon, definitely makes things more interesting, having live data/configs syncing. Congrats on the launch!

I agree with you, there are several settings avail to control what is optimized, it’s typically enabled on faster devices/connections at work. I would be upset as well if a site naively used up a connection in the background.

Great write up. I’ve been exploring SWs recently to help with downloading and caching data in the background for faster UI. Question, I’d like to avoid doing large downloads or possibly cap the transfer rate to avoid any potential jank. Is

I feel like it’s natural for anyone even close to the security industry to be very hesitant to say a product they created is secure or complete. Even Socrates ended with “All I know is that I don’t know”. Which interpreted means: use it.

I tend to agree but I’ve personally stopped using popular ORMs and instead my own semi-reusable, lighter weight libraries that are closer to the native db drivers. I feel like in this longer form writing, having the complete process laid ou

I can recommend his s3stat software. We used it to analyze thousands of devices that were uploading daily backups. It made it easy to see devices that had incorrect backup configs, for example, were uploading active .pst files from outlook

You may not feel this way, but think of downloading docker, as a non developer. You are probably following some tutorial, and really have no idea what you are actually doing. What if a container you are downloading is dangerous, or becomes

What does being open source and being altruistic have to do with each other? Personally, I think they enabled the login, so that new users would be able to use docker cloud, after installing docker, without needing to create an account. But

Curious if a potential solution would be having open, read only databases, that you could query directly, vs everyone copying the same data over and over. Kind of how you don’t download Wikipedia but access what you need. I realize there ar
