The main reason iq tests aren't so big anymore is because of the pc movement. They are the best way of testing for intelligence that we have so far.

The people that stole the data likely won't be using the information first hand. They'll sell it off to the highest bidders. Credit card numbers aren't very expensive to buy online. Wasting it on a gas purchase in Connecticut isn't unreason

This is one of the reasons its a shame you need to buy a console to play exclusive titles. I was going to buy a ps3, but am hesitant now. A security breach like this is really unacceptable from anyone, under any circumstance. I'll need to b

Agreed. If a language is more expressive, it becomes simpler. I don't think being low level is the same as being simple. Declarative languages tend to look more like English than C or Assembly does. Looking more like English seems like a pr

This sounds great. I think this is a much better way of displaying documentation than the standard hierarchical text approach. It also makes it easier to spend a lot of time going down the rabbit hole and learning about new features that ma

You use recur in clojure for tail optimization. Don't think the jvm has tail optimization support currently.

I meant that unfortunately Clojure will not be gaining very much popularity in web development. I agree that Rails is a much better web framework than Compojure/Ring. If you are doing web development, it makes sense to use Rails. You can us

I agree. Even Stuart Halloway said they use Rails and JRuby for a lot of the projects they do at relevance. He said the reason was because of the community and the lack of equivalently good Clojure web frameworks. Its hard to think of someo

I'm only a novice 3d modeler. But, my impression is that Blender has all the features that commercial vendors provide. The main reason it isn't popular is the interface is much different that 3D Max. I started using Blender having no past e

Seems like your laptop would not be very safe on a mobile chair on a small desk. I guess this is a joke (even though you claim it isn't).

Never knew there was an issue with stack traces in Clojure. I only started programming in it several months ago. From what I've found, its much easier to wade through stack traces in Clojure. You can break out at different points in the sta

Agreed. I think its something more than having an abysmal product like Quicktime. I like VLC a lot. But, I hate how its plugin takes over firefox if I allow it to. Most of these media player plugins for web browsers are extremely annoying.
